The Storied history of the IBEW
St. Louis Missouri is the birthplace of the IBEW. The origins began with Henry Miller in the late 1800’s with the first convention being held in 1891.
The original boarding house in downtown St. Louis, MO used by Henry Miller for the birthplace of the IBEW in 1891 was restored prior to the 125th Anniversary by IBEW Local 1 in St. Louis, MO.
