TITLE:             BANKING AND INVESTOR SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE ORGANIZATION UNIT: Treasurer's/Banking and Investor Services

DUTIES:

 

Under indirect and intermittent supervision; to do clerical work of a more difficult and complex character requiring the exercise of care, accuracy and the use of independent judgment; to maintain and balance internal accounting controls; to record cash receipts, wire transfers, commercial paper and bank loan transactions; to prepare and process dividend and interest payments; to print, prepare and distribute checks; to research and communicate with investors and their agents whether by telephone, in writing or in person; to process the transfer of stock and bonds, whether by certificate or book entry; to assist in the training of personnel; and to do word processing, typing and other related work, such as year-end tax processing and escheatment as required.

 

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

For care in handling stock and bond certificates, checks and coupons, and items received from investors.

 

For holding as confidential information pertaining to investors' accounts and records, and information on financial, statistical or other data relating to operations of the Company.

 

For care when answering inquiries in connection with individual holdings of securities.

 

For the proper and accurate check preparation/distribution, preparation of bank deposits, daily cash receipts transmittal, daily summary of cash receipts, and other financial-related work.

 

For the proper and accurate execution of stop payments, reporting of cash-in-transit, and reconciliation of disbursements with Accounts Payable.

 

For care in use of computers, printers and other office equipment.

Investors, bankers, stockbrokers, attorneys, legal representatives, accountants, and employees. QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduation from high school or the equivalent.

 

Ability to act in a leadership capacity.

 

Must be pleasant, courteous, and tactful and have a good speaking voice.

 

Must pass the EEI standardized typing test at a speed of 35 words per minute, and exhibit competency on a ten-key adding machine.
