TITLE: DISTRIBUTION DRAFTING SQUAD LEADER ORGANIZATION UNIT: Transmission & Distribution APPLICABLE TO: St. Louis Metropolitan
DUTIES:
Under general supervision, to direct and check the finished work of the drafting group designing, laying out and detailing mechanical and structural work of the department; to do designing of major importance; to direct the preparation and maintenance of system operating records, maps and diagrams; to assist the Chief Draftsman in the development and preparae, tion of routine procedures; incidentally, to operate. company automobile; and to do related work as required. In this connection to perform details of work, such as:
Direct and check the finished work of the draftsmen making any kind of mechanical or structural layout, assembly and detail drawings.
Lay out basic arrangement of mechanical. or electrical equipment from functional standpoint.
Do designing of major importance and complexity.
Direct the preparation and maintenance of system operating maps and diagrams and the development and maintenance of feeder and cable records including. record data formulated for computer processing and output of plotted maps and diagrams.
Direct the taking of field measurements.
Assist in the development of procedures and methods for system record maintenance.
Train employes, as required, to perform the duties under his direction.
SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
For safety of assistants, when investigating or making field measurements. For careful use and custody of company automobile.
For care in giving information relative to the transmission and distribution systems.
For watchfulness to prevent errors by men in his group..
