TITLE: IMAGE PRODUCING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR ORGANIZATION UNIT: Energy Delivery Technical Services/Nuclear APPLICABLE TO: City

 

DUTIES:

 

Under direct but not constant supervision, to produce microfilms, electronic scans and copies of printed or written material and other data by operating microfilming, duplicating and scanning equipment, to produce facsimile prints of original documents, and to do related work as required. In this connection to perform details of work, such as:

 

Load and unload microfilm camera and auxiliary equipment, distribute exposed microfilm and prints, and store scanned images in proper electronic management systems.

 

Prepare and use chemicals in the operation of the camera and auxiliary equipment.

 

Replace lamps and wipe mirror surfaces.

 

Do miscellaneous filing.

 

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

For care in operation and handling of microfilming, scanning and auxiliary equipment. For care to prevent waste of materials.

 

For careful handling and return of records.

 

For holding as confidential information contained in reproduced material. CONTACTS :

 

With employees of various departments who supply material to be reproduced. WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Subject to operating the microfilm equipment and scanner at more than one location in order to produce images of records in the most convenient and efficient manner.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduation from high school or the equivalent, plus six months' experience as a clerk in Energy Delivery Technical Services. When assigned to Nuclear Department; graduation from high school or the equivalent, plus six months' experience as a clerk in the Nuclear Department.
